Cristiano Ronaldo issues Juventus with his six-man wishlist for summer transfer window

Cristiano Ronaldo has issued Juventus with a six-man shortlist for the summer transfer window, reports say. The superstar was furious with his side’s showing in this season’s Champions League, with Ajax dumping Juventus out of the competition at the quarter-final stage. Ronaldo had given Juventus the edge in the tie in the first leg and then put the Italians in front in the second game in Turin, only for Ajax to hit back with two goals. Juventus have since received a dressing down from Ronaldo, who is demanding the signing of six stars this summer.

Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport claim Ronaldo has ordered Juventus to go after Benfica starlet Joao Felix, Real Madrid duo Isco and Raphael Varane, Serie A star Federico Chiesa, Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and Roma defender Kostas Manolas. Ronaldo has crafted his shortlist with the view to strengthen Juventus’ team and weaken their rivals. Isco and Varane played with Ronaldo at Real Madrid and won three successive Champions League trophies with the Portuguese goalscorer, and both have been tipped for summer moves this season.

Zinedine Zidane is still weighing up who to offload this summer and while Isco is being tipped to stay, centre-back Varane is considering a fresh challenge. Benfica’s Felix is begin dubbed the next Ronaldo and will reportedly cost upwards of £90million this summer with Manchester United and Manchester City chasing the exciting 19-year-old. Felix sits top of Ronaldo’s target list after the midfielder’s 18 goals and ten assists in 39 appearances this season.

Ronaldo has discussed these targets with Massimiliano Allegri in recent talks and Ronaldo is demanding a huge summer spending spree. Chiesa, 21, is a rising star in Italy with Fiorentina and has been tracked by Chelsea, Liverpool and United in the last year. Roma defender Manolas has a £31m release clause in his deal and could be tempted to join Juventus after they won their eighth Serie A title in a row.

Ronaldo is committed to another season at Juventus after becoming the first player to win the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A. Lyon star Ndombele is also on Ronaldo’s wishlist, but Juventus will face competition from Real and Paris Saint-Germain for the 22-year-old. Ndombele would also cost a hefty fee as Lyon value the Frenchman at £80m.
